Blood in Pee
28 June 2014
This can be a sign of a worrying problem such as bladder or kidney cancer. However, it is also seen in conditions such as urine infections or stones or enlarged prostates.
It is important to report this symptom to your doctor urgently, even if you notice blood in your pee just the once. Your GP may refer you to a Urologist for further tests and these are likely to include an ultrasound scan or a CT scan and probably a test called a cystoscopy where a telescope is passed into the bladder.
